Bio
Lolamora Tango

Lolamora Tango is the meeting of two artists that walked a long way in classical music: Marina Votti and Lola Pinchuk. Both graduated from the National Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires "Carlos López Buchardo" (currently the UNA, National University of the Arts).
They won the "Bares Notables" (Remarkable Bars) contest in the city of Buenos Aires.
The idea for the duo began in Paris in the year 2005 during their first tour, under the guide of maestros such as Juan José Mosalini and the great pianist Gustavo Beytelmann. At that moment, the duo was formed by the Argentinean pianist Marina Votti and the French violinist Renaud Deback. In the year 2011, Marina Votti went on with this project in Buenos Aires with the Argentinean violinist Lola Pinchuk, working both their tango style and the repertoire with maestros Leonardo Ferreyra and Pablo Agri.
These two young artists find their "New Tango" (Tango Nuevo) identity in Astor Piazzolla's compositions; later they got involved with new Argentinean composers such as Sonia Possetti, Andrés Linetzky, and Ramiro Gallo, growing a both unique and original repertoire that borders jazz, classical and Latin rhythms.
The reference for this tango duo is the great violinist Antonio Agri, but they are also inspired by other duos such as "Francini-Stamponi", or by more recent ones such as "Possetti-Bolotin" or "Couranjou-Caló" (France). All of these artists elevated the violin and the piano within this genre.
Lolamora Tango has performed at the most representative sites of the popular and classical music in the city of Buenos Aires: Clásica y Moderna (Bar & Bookstore), Pista Urbana (Bar & Theater), Bebop Club (Music Club), Esquina Homero Manzi (historical city corner), Club Sirio Libanés (Social Club of the Syrian-Lebanese Community), Mussetta Caffé (Musetta Coffee Shop), Domus Artis (Cultural Center), la Casa de Rusia (Russian Cultural Center). In the year 2017, they were invited by UNTREF (National University of the Tres de Febrero Jurisdiction) and the Ministry of Culture of the city of Buenos Aires, to participate in the Contemporary Art Biennial in South America, "BIENALSUR". The duo was part of the Noche de los Museos (Museums' Night) schedule (2017 edition), and of the "Music at Buenos Aires's Libraries" series, both events organized by the Ministry of Culture of the city of Buenos Aires.
Lolamora Tango is a duo that puts a new thrill into tango by mixing traditional and modern sounds as well as intertwining the melancholy and the cheerfulness of Latin music.
